William Robert “Bobby” Lynn, 84 Okeechobee – William Robert “Bobby” Lynn passed away Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Raulerson Hospital. He was born June 27, 1938 at his family home in Hagen, Georgia to the late James Randolph Lynn and Polly Ann Lynn. After many years of battling chronic emphysema and other ailments, Bobby went home to be with the LORD!! He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Polly Ann Lynn; brother, Johnny; two sisters, Suzie and Elsamae; wife, Cathy; grandchildren, BJ Mercer and Kristina LaFollette; and son-in-law, Jay Mercer. Bobby spent many years living around Lake Okeechobee. In Belle Glade he worked as the mechanic at Duda and Sons and later in life he lived in Clewiston before he moved to Okeechobee almost three years ago. Bobby was always a fan of fast cars and never missed watching NASCAR. He was the flagman at the dirt track in Clewiston for several years. Bobby was known to tear up the dance floor back in his day and was a regular at a few of the honky tonks in Belle Glade. He was also a member of the Vero Beach Moose Lodge. Bobby retired as a truck driver from Carol Fulmere Trucking nearly 20 years ago, but always loved talking about his days as a trucker. Bobby served in the Army and was stationed in Germany where he was honorably discharged. Bobby is survived by his three daughters, Joyce Mercer, Tammy Lynn, and Anne Watts; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; two sisters, Sherry Moody and Mary Martin; brother, Mack Lynn; and many nieces and nephews. Bobby was cremated and his cremated remains will be laid to rest at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Clewiston, Florida. The date will be announced at a later date.
