Patsy June Black, 84 Okeechobee – Patsy June Black died June 16, 2022. She was born June 21, 1937 in Sumerco, West Virginia to Bernie McCormick and Thelma (Midkiff) McCormick. She was a member of the Eastern Star Chapter 128, First Baptist Church of Okeechobee, and Delta Kappa Gamma. She loved crafts and cooking. She was a resident of Okeechobee for 35 years. Ms. Black was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse J. Black; parents, Bernie C. McCormick and Thelma McCormick; brother, Louis R. McCormick. She is survived by her son, Jesse Allyn Black (Melinda), of Okeechobee; three grandchildren, Linzy Anne, of South Carolina, Kyle Aryn Black (Jessica), of Cape Coral, and Corey Allyn Black, of Lehigh Acres; one great grandson, Liam Jansen Black, of Cape Coral. The family will receive friends 10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at Buxton & Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
