Margarito Casas Landaverde, 60 Okeechobee – Margarito Casas Landaverde died February 25, 2022. He was born February 22, 1962 in Huilotla, Mexico. He was a crew leader in the agricultural industry for 35 years which allowed him to travel to multiple states within the United States. He enjoyed traveling to his hometown, Huilotla, QRO, Mexico during the off season. He was a resident of Okeechobee for 40 years and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mr. Casas Landaverde was preceded in death by his father, Arturo Casas, and brother, Genaro Casas. He is survived by his mother, Maria Landaverde Resendiz, of Huilotla QRO, Mexico; sons, Margarito Casas, Jr. and Arturo Casas, both of Okeechobee; daughters, Tabatha Benitez (Patricio), of Ellijay, Georgia, Alicia Casas, of Okeechobee, Marisela Correa (Eulises), of Okeechobee; twelve grandchildren, Alexis Rosas, Patricio Daniel Benitez, Leslie Marie Benitez, Bryan Cortez, Margarito A. Casas, Ariana Casas, Jaedon Correa, Jordan Casas, Landon C. Benitez, Giovanni Casas, Jonathan Casas, and Brandon Correa; brothers, Fernando Casas (Maria), of Okeechobee, and Braulio Casas (Rosa), of Ellijay, Georgia; sisters, Juana Casas Aguilar (Jose), of Huilotla QRO, Mexico, Teresa Casas Landaverde (Ezequiel), of Arizona, Ma. Ana Casas Sanchez (Pablo), of Okeechobee, and Francisca Casas Landaverde (Ernesto), of Mexico City, Mexico. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Friday, March 4, 2022 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2022 at Buxton & Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home. Visitation will also be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Buxton & Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
