Jane Frances Chaffin

Jane Frances Chaffin, 78 Okeechobee – Jane Frances Chaffin passed away peacefully Thursday, October 22, 2020. During her 78 years of life, Mrs. Chaffin faced many struggles and achieved many triumphs. She was a barrel racer in several rodeos, a Journeyman Carpenter, truck driver, and General Contractor. After she retired she continued to work at The Big O Flea Market as a vendor. She also enjoyed gardening at her home. She was a generous, kind, loving, and loyal person. She led a simple life, while she may not have been materially wealthy, she was rich beyond compare in that she truly enjoyed life and spending time with her family and friends. She had a smile that would brighten any room. Mrs. Chaffin is survived by her two sons, Jim Goodling and Anthony Goodling; daughter, Tina Smith (Butch); siblings, Sharon Crouch (Doug) and Russell “Squeak” Haymaker; grandchildren, Amanda Windham (Steve), John Sharp, Lonnie Goodling, Bret Goodling, Candace, Cassie, Briana, Cheyanne, and Chevy Goodling; nine grandchildren; nieces and nephew, Kim Garrett, Sonny Garrett (Dawn), and Jamie Haymaker; and special companion, Angel. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at Buxton & Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home.
