Edward Lee “Ted” Barlow, 94 Okeechobee – Edward Lee “Ted” Barlow died May 20, 2022. He was born November 12, 1927 in Detroit, Michigan to Lester P. Barlow and Gertrude (Fitzgerald) Barlow. A resident of Okeechobee for 32 years, he was a member of Okeechobee Church of God. He enjoyed fishing, carpentry, woodworking, Nascar, and traveling (RVing). Ted was a proud Veteran who served his country in both the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Army. Mr. Barlow was preceded in death by his mom and dad; stepson, William Greene. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Joan Barlow, of Okeechobee, Florida; sons, James Barlow, of Connecticut; stepsons, Jim Greene, of Boynton Beach, Florida, Bob Greene, of New Hampshire, Tom Greene, of Virginia; daughter, Bonita Barlow, of New Mexico; six grandchildren, Chelsea Previtt, Jamie Bolin, Beth Greene, Bryon Greene, Dan Greene, and Tom Greene; 10 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Sandy Koski; brother-in-law, George Koski, both of Connecticut; and many friends. Services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, June 13, 2022 at the Okeechobee Church of God. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Children’s Ministry Okeechobee Church of God or Hospice of Okeechobee.
